Leading community bank cuts ribbon on Allentown location, hosts grand opening events, makes grant contributions to nonprofit partners
ALLENTOWN, PA (June 2024) โย Penn Community Bank, the largest independent mutual bank in eastern Pennsylvania, marked its entry into the Lehigh Valley and the opening of its new Allentown Financial Center (3090 Tilghman St., Allentown, PA) with a series of grand opening events. The week-long celebration included:
Official Ribbon Cutting (May 29) – Bank leaders and local elected officials gathered to cut the ceremonial ribbon and officially open the doors of the new financial center. Business Mixer & Nonprofit Grants (May 29) – Over 100 local business and community leaders joined for a networking mixer, highlighting the bankโs expanding involvement in the Lehigh Valley. In addition to remarks from leaders throughout the bank, the program included the presentation of two $5,000 grants to local nonprofit organizations: Cohesion Network and Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley. Community Grand Opening Celebration (June 1) โ Wrapping up the week, community members were invited to the financial center for a day of food and fun. Lehigh Valley Phantoms mascot MeLVin stopped by and Philadelphia Eagles legend Mike Quick was on hand signing autographs and talking football. CAT County 96FM broadcasted live and providing music and ticket giveaways. Hundreds of attendees entered to win great raffle prizes, including a PS5, smart TV, and more. (Photos attached)
