Fireworks will light up the summer sky again this July in Perkasie, thanks to support from Bucks Countyโs leading independent, mutual bank
PERKASIE, Pa. (June 12, 2019) โ A Perkasie-area tradition will continue in 2019, thanks to support fromย Penn Community Bank, which again will sponsor the fireworks display at Pennridge Community Day.
Penn Community Bank has donated $6,000 to support the 47thย Annual Pennridge Community Day, to be held on July 7 in Perkasieโs Lenape Park. The bank has donated money to support the eventโs fireworks display for many years.
โFor decades, Pennridge Community Day has drawn together families from across Bucks County for a free day of summer family fun,โ said Penn Community Bank Chief Relationship Officer Todd R. Hurley, a longtime Perkasie resident. โWe are proud to join other area businesses and community organizations to make this day possible.โ
Hurley presented a check for the $6,000 donation to Paul Lorenz, president of GALCO Business Communications. As vice president and president of Perkasie Rotary, respectively, Hurley and Lorenz joined Betty Graver, executive director of Pennridge Chamber of Commerce, to save Pennridge Community Day when Realtor Tom Skiffington stepped down in 2018 after organizing the event for many years.

Pennridge Community Day will be held in Perkasieโs Lenape Park on Sunday, July 7, and will begin at 12 p.m. and run through 6 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk; rain date for the event is July 14. For more information, visitย www.pennridgecommunityday.org.
