‘Assets Limited, Income Constrained, Employed’ population makes up 1 in 4 Bucks Co. households

DOYLESTOWN, Pa (March 2024) – Penn Community Bank, the largest independent mutual bank in eastern Pennsylvania, joined the County of Bucks and United Way of Bucks County in designating March 2024 ALICE Awareness Month. ALICE, an acronym that stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, represents the 27% of Bucks County individuals and families who earn above the federal poverty level but still struggle to make ends meet.

“The ALICE population represents hardworking families who are employed yet struggling financially. This proclamation is an important step in raising awareness of ALICE’s challenges and reduce the stigma around financial insecurity,” said Jeane M. Annual report highlights bank’s commitment to thriving communities

The 50+ page report, released annually, highlights the bank’s impact on its customers, communities, and team members.

Penn Community Bank executive among three recipients of 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Awards

NEWTOWN, PA (January 2024) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank in eastern Pennsylvania, is proud to recognize Chief Experience & Impact Officer (CXIO) Bernard Tynes for receiving Bucks County Community College’s 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Corporate Leadership Award. Tynes was honored along with other recipients at a program on Friday, January 26 at the college.

PHILADELPHIA — November 17, 2023 —Friday, PHDC and the City of Philadelphia celebrate Turn The Key’s expansion across the city with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. Turn the Key is a public-private partnership funded through the City’s Neighborhood Preservation Initiative to help up to 1,000 Philadelphia families become first-time homebuyers. City of Philadelphia employees get first preference.

Business Intelligence Group once again recognizes Marketing Department for external campaign efforts

PERKASIE, Pa (October 2023) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank in eastern Pennsylvania, has been selected by Business Intelligence Group as a recipient of the organization’s Public Relations and Marketing Excellence – External Campaign of the Year Award. The bank’s Marketing Department was recognized by the panel of business executives for its expansion of the ongoing “Start. Grow. Stay.” campaign. The initiative for the first time introduced the bank to a regional audience stretching from the Lehigh Valley to Philadelphia by utilizing a multi-channel approach, including TV, digital, print, and experiential marketing efforts.
