Jeane M. Vidoni will serve as treasurer of the board of directors for the Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership, a collaborative public health organization
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (May 2018) โ Penn Community Bank, the regionโs leading independent, mutual bank, is pleased to announce that President and CEO Jeane M. Vidoni has joined the board of the Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership (BCHIP). She will serve as treasurer of the nonprofit organization, which addresses a variety of health service gaps throughout Bucks County.
BCHIP ensures that basic health services are available to thousands of low-income, uninsured Bucks County residents who otherwise would not have access to healthcare professionals. Services it provides include an adult health clinic, a childrenโs dental program, wellness programs, and advance care planning assistance. It also offers a program for people who wish to quit smoking and an initiative to place opioid overdose survivors into long-term recovery services.
โIt is an honor for me and for our Penn Community Bank team to be able to contribute to the life-saving efforts of BCHIP in our community,โ said Vidoni. โImproving the health status of our most vulnerable neighbors is both the right thing to do and also has the net effect of strengthening the health and vitality of our communities.โ
BCHIP was founded after a community needs assessment in 1993 detailed the unmet health care needs of vulnerable populations in Bucks County. Today, the BCHIP Adult Health Clinic in Bensalem offers free services and medications to more than 1,000 uninsured Bucks County residents each year, while many other residents are assisted in efforts to quit smoking, enter recovery for opioid addiction, and document their wishes for end-of-life care.
The organizationโs work is made possible through a unique collaboration between the Bucks County Health Department, the six Bucks County hospitals, service organizations, and donations from the community.
