Penn Community Bank General Counsel joins leading therapeutic equestrian center

 PERKASIE, Pa. (August 2021) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank in eastern Pennsylvania, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Schwartzberg to the board of directors of Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center. In the new role, Schwartzberg will provide governance and aid in development opportunities over a two-year term.

“Stephanie has been volunteering her time at Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center since the fall of 2020. Coordinated fund supports Lower Bucks communities impacted by recent weather disasters

 PERKASIE, Pa. (August 2021) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank headquartered in eastern Pennsylvania, is partnering with United Way of Bucks County to establish a coordinated Disaster Relief Fund to help individuals and families affected by the recent severe flooding and tornados in Lower Bucks County.

Launched with initial donations of $25,000 from both United Way of Bucks County and Penn Community Bank, and $10,000 from Dow, the fund will assist low-income homeowners impacted by the storms who are unable to secure aid from other sources. United Way of Bucks County will coordinate with the County of Bucks and other nonprofit partners to ensure that funds are used efficiently.

Bucks County SPCA receives $15,000 first prize; NOVA and Livengrin also receive donations

PERKASIE, Pa. (August 2021) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank in eastern Pennsylvania, is pleased to announce $30,000 in nonprofit donations as part of its “Click for a Cause” social media and online community giving contest.

After more than 4,000 votes cast by members of the community on the bank’s website, Facebook, and Instagram, the results are:

• First Prize – $15,000: Bucks County SPCA
• Second Prize – $10,000: NOVA
• Third Prize – $5,000: Livengrin Foundation

Penn Community Bank Marketing Director joins leadership of state-wide industry organization

 PERKASIE, Pa. (July 2021) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank headquartered in eastern Pennsylvania, is proud to announce the naming of Bernard Tynes – SVP, Director of Marketing and Data Analytics to the board of directors of the PA Bankers Association. Tynes is among several new directors added to the board and one of the youngest to serve on the board of the state-wide industry organization.

Tynes leads all facets of the Penn Community Bank’s marketing and community relations efforts, including a recent repositioning of the institution’s mission-based brand. He is chair of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s Young Professionals Network and member of its Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Advisory Council. Tynes has been recognized as one of the region’s Forty Under 40 by the Philadelphia Business Journal and one of Philadelphia’s most influential African Americans by The Philadelphia Tribune.
