Challenge grant helps fund laptop computers for distance learning

PERKASIE, PA (August 2020) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank headquartered in Southeastern Pennsylvania, has pledged a $10,000 challenge grant to Bucks County Community College’s “Means to Succeed” campaign in an effort to help students overcome barriers to education.

The campaign raises funds for the newly established Bucks Student Emergency Fund, launched in response to economic uncertainty amid the Coronavirus pandemic. The fund provides micro-grants to Bucks students for emergency expenses like laptops, food, or childcare in an effort to keep students enrolled and pursuing their educational goals.

Penn Community Bank Donates Hundreds of Graduation Gifts to Area Graduates

Local bank highlight’s community commitment during the coronavirus pandemic

LANGHORNE, PA (MAY 2020) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank headquartered in Southeastern Pennsylvania, is highlighting its commitment to community during the coronavirus pandemic with Operation Graduation – an initiative to celebrate graduates of the class of 2020 as commencements and traditional graduation plans have been interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.

As part of Operation Graduation, Penn Community Bank has delivered hundreds of graduation gifts to both high school and college graduates throughout the region, including more than 35 local high schools, technical schools, and universities. Receiving gifts as part of Operation Graduation was Cairn University’s entire undergraduate and graduate classes. Cairn University is home to Penn Community Bank’s first on-campus banking branch.

Jeane M. Vidoni Named to Bucks County Economic Recovery Task Force

Penn Community Bank president & CEO tapped for county blue ribbon panel focused on “re-opening” local economy

PERKASIE, PA (MAY 2020) – Jeane M. Vidoni, president and CEO of Penn Community Bank – the largest mutual bank headquartered in Southeastern Pennsylvania – has been selected to serve on the Bucks County Economic Recovery Task Force.

Established earlier this month by Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie, the task force will work to identify and overcome obstacles that businesses are most likely to encounter as they begin to reopen, and to recommend steps for them to take, such as policies to develop, internal and external communications, staying informed of new developments, planning their reopening level of operation, and identifying supplies they will need. The task force also is identifying the most effective ways for county government to assist this process, and to develop effective methods of disseminating information to businesses and the public.

Penn Community Donates 1,400 N95 Masks to Bucks County Emergency Services Center

Community-first financial institution continues to support local response to coronavirus pandemic

PERKASIE, PA (APRIL 2020) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank headquartered in Southeastern Pennsylvania, has donated over 1,400 N95 masks to the Bucks County Emergency Service Center as they respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

Penn Community Bank’s donation was made possible by the diligent disaster response planning of Joseph F. Gasper, Jr., the bank’s former Director of Compliance. Gasper, who retired in 2016 and passed away last month, was a 23 year Air Force veteran and passionate about preparation efforts. Thanks to these secured resources, the bank has been able to provide supplies to all its locations and still provide this donation to the community.

Penn Community Bank Announces $30,000 Donation to COVID-19 Fight

Contribution to Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership (BCHIP) established HOPE Fund, supports critical unmet needs in local response

PERKASIE, PA (APRIL 2020) – Penn Community Bank, the largest mutual bank headquartered in Southeastern Pennsylvania, is donating $30,000 to the Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership (BCHIP) to establish the Penn Community Bank Healthcare Operational Priority Emergency (HOPE) Fund which will cover the cost of care for some of the community’s most vulnerable residents.

In concert with Bucks County hospitals and local officials, the HOPE Fund is established to provide resources to support individuals who are unsheltered due to COVID-19, these may include shelter clients or those who cannot safely return to group homes.  Costs may include expenses such as space for safe isolation during illness, essential medical supplies, or personal protective equipment (PPE) for clients and staffing.  In addition, funds will be used to address and meet the rapidly changing needs of the Bucks County community brought about by the pandemic.
