Leading independent, mutual bank supports annual fundraiser for Doylestownโs Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic, which provides free care to low-income residents
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (July 24, 2019) โย Penn Community Bankย was proud to serve as the premier sponsor of the annual golf classic fundraiser at Doylestown Country Club to support the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic.
Held on July 22, the event featured an afternoon of golf at Doylestown Country Club followed by auctions, awards, and dinner. Proceeds from the event benefit the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic. Located inside Doylestown Hospital, the clinic is staffed by volunteer doctors, dentists, and nurses and offers free medical care and dental care for uninsured families across Bucks County.
โWe are honored to partner with so many other Doylestown-area businesses to support the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic,โ said bank Chief Relationship Officer Todd Hurley. โPenn Community Bank is dedicated to giving that helps our community thrive, and the Ann Silverman Clinic does just that by serving Bucks County families who otherwise would go without the medical and dental care to keep them healthy and strong.โ
Penn Community Bank has pledged to serve as the premier sponsor for the golf outing for the next three years, a commitment that will help Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic fulfill its vital mission.ย Founded in 1994 as the Free Clinic of Doylestown, the clinic was renamed in honor of the late local philanthropist Ann Silverman, who, along with her husband Herman Silverman, joined with Doylestown Hospital and its physicians to start the clinic.
โWe are deeply grateful for Penn Community Bank and its commitment to sponsoring our golf outing fundraiser for the next few years,โ said Sally Fabian-Oresic, longtime executive director of the clinic. โPenn Community Bankโs contribution is crucial to help us provide services to the people who need it most in this community.โ
The Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic recently completed an expansion project, doubling the number of exam rooms from two to four and adding a patient waiting room, restroom, storage room, and medication room. The expansion enables two medical practitioners to treat patients at the same time, greatly improving the clinicโs efficiency at a time when the number of low-income and uninsured people seeking care from the clinic continues to climb.
